KAREN D. LEWIS

Karen Lewis has built a highly successful Real Estate career, serving the industry since 1987. She started with the local Century 21 franchise in her hometown and rose quickly to the ranks of top producer and the first in central coast history to be awarded the coveted Centurion Status. This is the highest level of achievement in the Century 21 program.

Karen opened her own office in 1989, Prestige Properties Inc. where she was consistent in sales and marketing the luxury homes in the area. In addition to serving her ever-expanding client/seller base, she oversaw 28 sales associates and assistants, which was one of the most treasured times in her career.

Karen's specialty being the luxury homes market drew recognition not only on a local level but also within the region of her former affiliation of Century 21. In 1990, the Broker/Owner of the local Century 21office for whom she worked, offered to sell the franchise to her and she became, Century 21 Prestige Properties. She received her Brokers license in 1991.

Karen, in 1994, was offered another opportunity; this time it was to sell her Century 21 franchise and she once again returned to professional independent status and continued as Owner/Broker of Prestige Properties.

Several years later, Karen was extended an invitation by a local office of Coldwell Banker, to join their Residential Real Estate Brokerage firm and spearhead their Previews Property Specialist program. This endeavor proved to be a very rewarding and challenging opportunity. She met many new and interesting people and expanded even further her marketing alliances.

Now, headed for retirement, she and her husband were looking in the Carmel, Pebble Beach area of California. Just a 2 hour drive up the coast from their San Luis Obispo County home. It was on one of those retirement home seeking trips that, Karen found the perfect fit with an internationally recognized company where she could work among the same high caliber type of professionals who represent some of the most prestigious properties in the world. She simply could not resist the opportunity to work the last few years of her career within their luxury home sales division. She is now a Broker Associate @ Sotheby's International Realty in Carmel, California.  

Karen now enjoys being a resident of, PEBBLE BEACH located right on the infamous 17 Mile Drive.  She has become active in the local Women's Council of realtors and MCAR. Although awaiting her husband's retirement, she is staying very busy learning the area and about all of the people with such interesting and diversified backgrounds.

Karen continues to strive for the highest of professionalism, dedication, and uncompromising integrity as she strongly stands behind her motto of "Experience, Knowledge, and Trust" which go hand in hand with the philosophy of Sotheby's International.

Karen is well recognized and respected throughout the Central Coast of California. Specializing in Exceptional and Unique properties. Her professional integrity and reputation for providing exceptional service have contributed to her tremendous success.

Karen is a member of NAR, CAR, WCR, AAOR, and MCAR. She has always been an advocate of continuing education and is now hoping to be able to take the necessary time to complete her GRI, CRS, CRB, e-PRO and many other professional designations.

Karen's husband, Glen, is a longtime practicing Real Estate Tax Attorney on the Central Coast. She has four children, two step children, and six grandchildren.

Of all of her many accomplishments throughout the years, her family has always been her passion and has remained at the forefront of her priorities.
